I recently acquired the Altenew Peaceful Wreath and one of the first things I though of was to try and make the wreath look more like an Autumn design. So that was my mission today. I also grabbed a sentiment from the Altenew Floral Spring set to place in the middle of the wreath. I will love seeing your opinion as to whether I pulled it off or not. At least it was a fun project to do.
I used a rainbow pad on Ivory card stock for the wreath leaves which had Autumn colors in it. I also used that for the sentiment along with another teal ink pad. And the berries I made in an orange shade. With some acrylic paint and a brush I splatted some paint on the front of the panel. And, then I tied that color in with a layer of teal card stock before I placed it on the Ivory card base.
I am entering this in the Altenew Vintage Farmhouse Color Palette-July 2020 Inspiration Challenge. I tried to match the colors as close as I could with the inks I had on hand.
So far the internet has worked well all day but I see rain clouds building up so this may be the end of it soon. The technician has not come yet. They said sometime this week.
Well, take care and stay well. Thanks for the visit.
God bless,
Verna

Verna, it's pretty amazing how you made this look like a fall wreath. I wouldn't know the difference, that's for sure! It's beautiful!
I think it looks like a lovely Autumn wreath! I like the touches of teal, as well.
Oh my goodness, you absolutely pulled the fall card off! Wow! I’d never have thought to use this set that way, but you totally nailed it. Beautiful card!
A beautiful Autumnal wreath Verna - an awesome result

This is so lovely x
Yes you definitely pulled it off. It's a beautiful fall wreath and in the midst of the heat wave reminds me that cooler days are coming.
It's gorgeous! Love the teal as a contrast too. Cool splatters.
Beautiful wreath Verna, so I think it turned out perfectly
What a great idea to use the rainbow ink pad to create your multi-colored, fall leaves. This came out great!
Even before I read your post, I immediately knew it was Fall! Success, my friend!
Beautiful fall colors, and at first glance the ivy in those colors give the illusion of pine cones! The use of the rainbow pad is really unique
