Dog Rose Cards

More artwork using Altenew products. I recently won two gift certificates to Altenew so I spent them on some new goodies and I am sharing two cards I made using the Dog Rose Dies. They work in my Altenew Mini  Blossom die cutting machine. However, the more intricate die needs the metal shim or extra card stock shims to get a good cut.

The first one I am showing is the one I made using both the A and  B dies together. I bought them as a bundle as it was a tad cheaper. For this card I used two shades of purples to make a CAS design that packs a punch. I added a sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips stamp set.

And my Twofer  uses only the one die which I like how it looks as well. It gives another great way to use those dies and again I used the same sentiment. I was in need of more sympathy cards and I felt these would be great ones.

Don't you agree they look awesome both ways. I know I am so thrilled with them. And, they are dies that could be for many occasions too.

Since this is new to me I guess I will enter this in the NBUS challenge-16.  NBUS stands for Never  Before Used Stuff. Heaven knows I have a lot of that in my supply.

Well, the wind is from the south so the internet is behaving today. Hopefully, Thursday we will get on the new internet source and since it is the only other option for us I hope it works a lot better then this one. Wish us luck!

Take care and God bless,
Verna

Wow, I love both of these and I had to keep looking to see that the 2nd was the same as part of the first card, these are beautifully awesome!! I might have to add them to my ever growing want/need list along with that tartan stamp you had the other day! Congrats on winning those gift certificates too and good luck with the internet. We are headed home for 5 days and I have a bunch of new goodies waiting for me, makes it easier to leave this beautiful lake...take care!!

Love the look with both layers and just the single layer of the die cut. Beautiful color combinations as well!

Two fantastic cards, and I whole-heartedly agree that they're great together or separate! Sympathy cards are always so tough, so it's great when there is something that speaks on its own.
And I do pray that better internet is on its way for you! Internet is very important in our little creative world :o)

What a great choice for your win. The dimension you get with the two dies is so beautiful. Using the one die alone made a stunning card. Congratulations on your win, Verna.

It's so nice to win and you can put it towards something you really like. Your cards are nice. I've just used 3 sympathy cards unfortunately. So, I need to make more. It's good that you'll have some in your stash. [Bunny]

I agree that this die is beautiful both ways. The lighter purple on the first card looks like vellum. So lovely. Congratulations on your win!

I do agree that this is a great and versatile die, Verna! I love both versions of your pretty sympathy cards, but I do like the second, less busy, look a tiny bit better. I hope the changeover to the new internet service is going smoothly today and that you have great results from here on out! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
