I wanted to use the shoes by themselves so I cut them away from the sentiment....yes, sometimes I do surgery on my stamps. I then used the shoes to create a colorful background of lots of shoes so that it would be a perfect for my main focal image. But I screwed up when I put the shoes back into the sentiment. I put them in the wrong direction but I figured it still wasn't too awful so I left them that way. I decorated the shoes up to make them look a bit more fancy with the addition of a single rhinestone to each one. Since I stamped the sentiment on sand card stock I thought it would look better if trimmed with some black before placing it on the kraft card base. I also added some black glitter drops to the sentiment panel. Inside I also used the sand but added a bit of black to trim that along the top and bottom as well.
I hope this card does not offend anyone. My feeling behind it is that it will bring a smile and maybe even a chuckle to my friend. I hope so. I don't want her to give up! And, of course, she is in my prayers.

What a great card for someone dealing with health issue. With different kick ass shoes for each outfit she'll kick those health issues right out the door.

Oh my, your friend has been through so much in such a short time. I hope they get her infections under control and she is on the mend. What a fun card for her and it should bring a smile to her face. It would be fun to be able to wear shoes like that again, they are the bomb! Adding the rhinestones really dressed them up.
