Wild Flower Blossoms

I recently learned that my great niece Jodi has stage 4 pancreatic cancer and so after I  had purchased the Wild Flower Blossoms digital set from Jan's Digitals I thought the sentiments in the set were perfect ones for her as she is going through this fight for her life! And the wild flower blossoms came pre-colored so I used them for this card. I made it a slimline design.

I added some dirt and some sky with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. Then I layered it onto some dark pink card stock before adding it to the white card base. The final item added on the outside was some  pink rhinestones in each corner.

I carried the theme of the card over into the inside as well as you can see by the photo below.

Well, it seems overnight the way to write in my blog has changed and I am finding it frustrating to figure out how to do things again. I hate change! Hahaa!

Take care everyone and have a great day!
God bless,
Verna

Verna, I have her in my prayers. This is such a gorgeous card and you're right, the sentiments are perfect. Love how you 'grounded' the wildflowers on the card front. BTW, most of us have reverted back to the Legacy version of Blogger until they get all the bugs and glitches fixed and make it user friendly again. Next time you aqe writing up a post, scroll down and look at the left hand side bar to where it says "Revert to Legacy Blogger." Click on that and it will not only take you back to the older version but with so many people reverting back maybe the message will get through to Blogger that the new version is a disaster!
Finally, putting on a DT hat while I'm here - I'm so glad to see you playing along in our "Anything Goes" challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps this month. Thanks for supporting us and good luck in the draw. :-D

It's sad to hear the news about your great niece. I love this verse and think this card will be so appreciated by her. It is lovely and uplifting. I hope we aren't forced into the new blogger as I have a hard enough time just doing what I know to do! They say the more things change, the more they stay the same and that is NOT true!

Hi, Verna. I'm sad to hear about your niece. Please know your family is in my thoughts and prayers. My mom had pancreatic cancer.
Verna, I love what you have done with Jan's flowers. They are lovely and serene and definitely depict the loveliness and delicate aspects of life. Your niece will love it.
I'm so disgusted with blogger! Since January, I've been providing feedback regarding their new blogger. It was mostly inconvenient. But since they actually changed over in July, my blog won't even log. I've completed disabled it, and then rebuilt it using only the new layouts and themes. I removed everything from the side bar except my followers. The fonts don't work right - etc. In the past, whenever I provided feedback, Google fixed the problem areas immediately. In this case, it's the pits! I'm actually considering discontinuing my blogging because of it. I've gone back and forth between legacy blogger and the new blogger, and the problems are now in both platforms. SHEESH! Wishing you luck with the blog. hugs, de

Your card is so very delicate and pretty, Verna. I'm sorry about your great niece. That's devastating news. Also, sorry you're having such trouble with Blogger. So far it's been okay for me, but something different each time I do a post. Now my pics look weird on my phone so I'll have to make an adjustment. I've noticed my blog takes longer to load than it did before. I'm not sure what the advantage is.

Your card is gentle and very pretty, Verna. It's lovely for your great niece who is in the fight for her life. I'm so sorry to hear this news and I have added her to my prayer list for the strength and stamina she will need. As for blogging, I converted back to Legacy after five minutes with the new one. Whatever are they thinking?! There was no reason to change something that wasn't broken! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

Oh Verna, I'm so sorry to hear of your G-niece's diagnosis. I hope she is a fighter. Pancreatic cancer is so tough. I think this set from Jan's was the perfect choice for your card. You did a beautiful job and she will treasure it. And I second what Nana Connie and others are saying about Blogger. They took away the button to report bugs, so they must have been slammed with notices. Revert to the old version while it is still an option and give them time to fix the glitches. Prayers to your G-niece and family.
