Well, I got my new die cutting machine the Crossover from Cheery Lynn Designs this last Friday but being I was gone all weekend I just got to play today with it. I love it and it is so much easier for me to crank a handle on this machine than my Big Kick.
With that in mind I decided to enter the Cheery Lynn Blog Challenge for this week which has the theme Anything Goes. And, since I made it a spotlight card I am entering it in the Stamp TV Mix It Up Monday challenge too.
I stamped the daisy bouquet from the Gina K. Designs Enjoy the Sunshine set with black ink and then left that uncolored. It was stamped onto a Cheery Lynn Designs DL183 Oval Doily Stacker One using the smallest doily frame. The flower bouquet was again stamped onto the center oval of this same set and that was what I colored in. I then popped that up over the original daisy bouquet and making a spotlight affect.
I found some old card stock I had that was almost the exact shade of deep pink that I had used on the daisies so I cut a rectangle panel out of that and in each corner I added one of three corner elements from the Cheery Lynn Designs B162 Lace Corner Deco B. This created an additional frame which showcased the center design. All was added to a white card stock base.
I love the bright colors of this card and it makes me think Spring even if the weather does not seem to act like it. We had a brief meltdown of snow today but I understand more is on the way again. But thanks to the Lord anyway for some much needed moisture so I won't complain too much.
I hope you are having a wonderful start to this week as well. And, thanks for all the nice comments you leave each post I write.
God bless,
Verna

what a pretty, delicate card, V! I especially like how you "spotlighted" your flowers by leaving everything in black and white outside the popped up oval! Really pretty! hugs, de
This is a very pretty card, Verna. The spotlighting technique works so well on this image. The corner dies look so much like the new ones Gina K released this month. They're lovely!
