A few years ago I was always buying special ink cleaners which had a dauber top. They worked great too! But then I went to a scrubber instead to clean my inks off the stamps and so I did not use the dauber type anymore. But I saved a few of the bottles because they had good daubers on them. I am glad I did too!
I was wanting a yellow ink to make a card but my bingo daubers were all different colors then that. So I took this old ink dauber bottle, cleaned it out and added water and food coloring to create my new dauber with a yellow color. Here is a card I made with it.
I suggest if you use this method that you use a heavy card stock or water color paper. And, again I added the sentiments from the Gina K. Designs Stamp It Big set illustrated by Carolyn King. Although two sentiments are used in the stamping I stamped them close to make it appear as one big sentiment. Like I said before, I do love that set of sentiment stamps.
Well, I am glad I could share a few of my recliner thoughts and creative ideas I had this past week. I may have to take a recliner hiatus more often. LOL
Thanks for stopping by too!
God bless,
Verna

You look like you are having too much fun. Love the yellow.
Fabulous card Verna.. That is why so hard to try any art stuff away :) you never know when you need them.
Well, this is just genius! I love the yellow and black together, so bright and cheerful. And who knew that food coloring would work like ink? Fabulous!
Well aren't you just the most clever crafter I know...lol. That is a FABULOUS idea. Not only that, but your card came out gorgeous. I love that yellow color and the splats are awesome!
Thanks for the hint on an old dauber bottle. I have one of those so now you know what I will use it for. Loving the splats or blobs you got with it and such a great colour choice. Love the simplicity of it and it sure has that wow factor.
PS Verna I use food colouring on some of my shaving cream cards. Works like a dream and much cheaper than reinkers for colours I don't have.
You are so creative!!! Who knew, or would even think of food coloring! I love the font on your beautiful and colorful card. Nothing is more spring looking than yellow and black.
You just keep coming up with these things that will have to be tried. Love the brightness of the card. Super.
Great splats! You need more recliner time to come up with more great ideas!
Thanks for the DIY, and what a great card!!
