After I saw that Gina K. at Stamp TV had posted a video of this new technique called Carved Wood I knew I would have to give it a try too. I just love the look and I can see this being used a lot for future cards.
To make the carved wood design you first score the lines in the card stock. I started with ivory card stock and after I had it scored I ran Kraft ink over the lines and then took the Dark Chocolate over the top of that. Next I put the panel in an embossing folder and got the impression. The last step was to take my Ivory ink pad and run over the embossed area and when you do that the carved look just pops out.
The pumpkin and sunflower image and the sentiment are from the Gina K. Designs Always Autumn set which is illustrated by Theresa Momber. I really love that set and have used it many times.
I added a ribbon to the focal panel and over that I popped the sentiment. This panel was then added to a base card of Dark Chocolate card stock. I added an ivory panel inside as well.
I enjoyed making this card and I hope you liked what you saw too! Have a great evening.
God bless,
Verna
