I had an occasion to play with a die that I had purchased and never used before recently. So today I thought I would share it with you. It implements a die set from Impression Obsession called Birch Trees. I die cut the trees in white and then die cut the birds in red.
These dies were added to a bluish gray card stock which has little flecks of glitter in it. And, I have no idea where I got it from. And, the sentiment is one of Gina K. Designs which I stamped in red. The final touch before adding it to a white card base was to add the red frame from My Favorite Things called Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Frame. I thought it showed off the inside image quite well.
Well, I am busy and I am sure most of you are as well getting the last minute things done for the holidays. I am in cleaning mode as I have all the baking done and all the presents wrapped that have arrived so far. And, this weekend I got the tree up so I think I will manage okay since we are not getting together until the weekend after Christmas. I might even have a bit of time to watch some of the holiday movies on Hallmark. I always love to do that this time of the year if possible.
Well, don't work and stress out too much with your holiday planning. I hope you have a great week.
God bless,
Verna

Gorgeous card, Verna. I love the design, the scallop rectangle makes a perfect frame. xx
This is so pretty and I love the birch trees as well as that red frame that encircles everything so nicely! No stress here for the holidays - it's chill time for us old folks :)
Your card is so pretty, but I also love reading about your activities. I have the cards out, and the gifts wrapped, but I still need to finish the baking. The kids are coming on the 23 -24, not sure as they are driving. They will be bringing the tree, as there was not room in the card for a toothpick. My Christmas decorations as the cards tha I have received from friends like you and a poinestta plant.
so beautiful...love the colours.
xx Karen
Love the red and blue, always so festive with that pop of red!!
I have been watching Hallmark ALL month. I have it on all the time while I am doing chores or crafting. I have to stop for tissues though..lol!
Have a very merry Christmas!
Verna, this is a lovely card with the most perfect sentiment. I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday and a safe, healthy New Year.
LOVE this, those red birds are the star of the show. Great design too. Well done!
Beautiful card, Verna! I love Christmas Hallmark movies too!
This is a lovely card. I think I have that same birch tree die set but I have barely used it. I should get it out and CASE your card sometime! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Since I love the white birch trees and of course the brilliance of the red cardinals, this one has to be a favorite of all you've done. The pairing of the colors is perfectly festive, and the red scalloped frame sets this icy winter scene off perfectly. TFS & Merry Christmas. Best wishes for a wonderful 2018.
I really love the look of this card! Perfect color combo!
This is beautiful! Love all of the pops of red against these neutral background colors! Very striking!
