This was one of the last cards I made and I simply used some leftover card stock, fastened them together with some Washi tape and then put it through a Darice Holly embossing folder. I then die cut the panel out with a Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Border die, added some leftover black for a border and then placed that panel onto a white card base.
Now all that was left was to add the sentiment and the holly which are both from a set from Carta Bella Designer Stamps called Jingle All the Way. I got this set as a prize one year and I used it several times on my cards. I hand cut the holly out.
I am entering this in the Stamplorations December 2017 CAS Challenge.
Well, I am so happy I managed to get another post in before Christmas. I am almost done with my preparations too. Take care everyone and enjoy this holiday season. Jesus is the Reason for the Season!
God bless,
Verna

Fantastic look with the bold strips of cardstock and the great embossing folder! Great idea for a last minute card!
Great use of scraps and great card.Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Cute card Verna, love the pieced background and embossing....
This turned out great! Wonderful use of scraps. The embossing came out so well on this. Love the little sprig of holly with the sentiment. Have a wonderful Christmas season Verna.
So pretty Virginia! I love how the embossing brings all those colors together. Have a very Merry Christmas!
THis is a wonderful way to use that washi tape and the look is fantastic! Love the overall embossing with the split panels! Great use of leftover snippets as well!
What super card and super way to use scraps. I never thought of using Washi tape to attach scraps - I've always attached them to another piece of CS which makes them kind of thick. This will be a great quick and CAS card to keep in mind for next year. Thanks for the great inspiration. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year!
Best last minute card every!!! Love the simple and pretty design. I'm off to do some last minute stuff myself this morning. Thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful! Love the pretty embossing and fun design...Merry Christmas!!!
What a great design idea for using up small pieces of card Verna. It's a beautiful card. Barbxx
Love the festive & traditional colors of the Season. And the holly embossing looks great, and aren't you clever to hide the join paper seam with washi! The matting colors make the panels pop. This is so pretty. TFS, Hugs & Merry Christmas
A great idea and looks really effective! Happy Christmas
So very beautiful! Awesome simple design with quite an impact. Love it!
Beautiful card! I keep meaning to do this kind of design, but forget. Hope you had a lovely Christmas & are enjoying your blog break.
Very clever design for a quick last minute card - we all know the pressure for us card-makers over the holidays and great ideas for those super quick last minute cards are always so welcome. And if it's an idea which also uses up some leftover card, even better! Thank you for playing along with the STAMPlorations CAS Challenge. We hope to see you back again soon!
