Time again for the March Rudolph Days Challenge and I have a card to enter into it using stamps from the Taylored Expressions Baby, It's Cold Outside stamp set. I did a simple little scene and made it into a fun Christmas card. I was not quite sure how to place the snowflakes and flourish but I hope it looks okay the way I did it.
I stamped Santa and the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored them with my Copics. The snowflakes and flourish were stamped with Gina K. Designs Blue Raspberry ink. The focal layer and the green layer were die cut with a Unbranded Scalloped Stitch die I got from Cheapo Dies. It is a very basic design but I find that the scallops combined with the stitching makes a nice look.
We had quite a bit of snow dumped on us Friday night and into Saturday but it warmed up and the snow has really diminished a lot already. So since it was snowing on Saturday I stamped this card really quick for this challenge. I guess it looked more like Christmas outside then Easter.
Well, you have a wonderful week and I just want you to know I love to see your wonderful comments each time I post. You are so kind to say such nice things.
God bless,
Verna

hi verna, thanks for popping by to comment! this card is so sweet and i love the red and green with the stitched tiny scallop border. i like how you've stamped the snow to one side of santa; makes it look like it's just starting to snow. if you did repeat stamping, it'd look like a blizzard. :) thank you so much for playing along with us at the rudolph days challenge!

This card is really delightful!
It is funny how it is still so wintery with Easter just around the corner!
Such a fun and very merry card! The scalloped edges with the added stitching really do add a lot to the finished look. Nice job!
Straight from Easter to Christmas! It's just like the crazy weather the country is seeing this time of year. I love seeing the occasional Christmas card because we all can use the encouragement. He's a very cute Santa and I think the snowflakes and flurry placement are perfect!
So cute, Verna. The Santa is perfect with the greeting. Ahhh another Christmas card done.
I love where you placed your snow and flourish, Verna! The whole scene is perfect for a Christmas card, but I do have to wonder ... did Rudolph and the other lads wander off, or have a wage dispute, and leave Santa to hitch it back to the North Pole, lol?! Hugs, Darnell
Cute Christmas card Verna, your placement looks good to me and I like the scalloped layers.
Gosh, I'd forgotten that Rudy Day had started! So glad I saw this delightful Santa. Love those blue snowflakes and your stitched scallops do indeed make an attractive frame for Santa. Love the traditional colors on this cute card. TFS & Hugs
