I have been working on Christmas cards and this is the one I am submitting for the June Rudolph Days Challenge. I made a shaker card with a beautiful die from Gina Marie Designs bought at Kat's Scrappiness.
I used some Crafter's Companion card stock which had a shimmery blue finish to it for the card base. I then die cut the Cut in Cut Out Christmas Tree design on a piece of white card stock. After adding some acetate under the cut out area on that panel I then added some double sided thick tape to create a raised panel. But before I added this design to the card base I placed a pile of some Kat Scrappiness Frosty II Sequin Mix where the open area would be. The focal panel was die cut with a Memory Box Cross Stitched Border die. Then very carefully I aligned the panel up and added it to the shimmery blue card stock base. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! The last thing I did was to add some sequins on the top of the card and some gems to the tree and stars.
I am so happy with the way this turned out. I think that is such a gorgeous die and I am glad I finally am using up some of that older card stock too.
Thanks for visiting and for the lovely comments you leave.
God bless,
Verna

Gorgeous creation Verna!
This is one beautiful Christmas card! I love the colors and the beautiful shaker you created! Well done!
What an extraordinarily pretty die...and how pretty it is the way you've used it. Love the frosty sequins in the background, and adding the glimmers of blue on the tree added lots of sparkle. The golden rhinestones on the stars was a nice detail as well. I have never seen this die, and the company is a new one to me. Is this USA company? Beautiful card, Verna. TFS
Very attractive Christmas Shaker card. You knocked this one out of the park.
Okay all I hear is Elvis singing Blue Christmas lol (thanks for that!) This is a pretty Christmas card, I do love the shades of blue! And it's a Shaker to boot! Love!
So pretty! The sequins add so much..so festive!
What a pretty shaker card! The sequins and gems give it so much sparkle.

Love the blue & white--beautiful card!
A sweet and frosty winter scene with your new die! You're so good to be putting it to use right away. Fun that you made it a shaker. Using up some of your bling, too!
So pretty in the blue!
This is a wonderful shaker card, Verna. I like the way you used the shimmery blue for the card base. It looks like a lovely paper! The shaker part of dyour must look great with that beautiful Gina K design topping it off!
Thanks for taking part in the June Rudolph Days Challenge.
Oooo great design and I'm loving all the bling too and thanks for joining us at June's Rudolph Days Challenge, Luv Sam x
Sorry I am late visiting. I have a house full all week, so now I am playing catch-up. I love your card with its shiny blue baubles. I have several Gina maria dies and they are great to work with. Shaker cards are fun too. I do't make them very often as most of my cards post internationally and the local PO doesn't like thick envelopes! This one makes me want to have a go again. Kate xx
Now you're making me want that die! this is so beautiful and that blue is just perfect as a backdrop... love it!
