St. Pat's Cards Set 1

As you may remember the other day I had so much frustration from trying to put a color cartridge into my printer. Well this is the reason why as I wanted to print out the St. Patrick's Collage sheet from Iralamijashop so that I could make up some simple card designs. So with a couple of those beautiful vintage pre-colored photos I made up these simple cards.

I also used a Clover Flourish die from Cheapo dies to cut out some green glitter paper. However, the glitter paper seemed to stick terribly and therefore of the three I die cut only one came out  perfect. But I still used portions of the die cut design to decorate my cards. I only need four cards this year as my shut-in list sadly has been downsized since last year. I will show the other two another time.

With all the frustration I had in getting the printer to work I forgot to put in my card stock to print the images on so instead they were printed out on regular printer paper. I decided to use them even if it was the wrong paper. I thought the images were very vivid looking and would still work fine.

Well, almost to the weekend again. I hear according to the forecast that March is coming in like a Lion. Oh, well! Most of our weekends are stormy this winter so guess it doesn't make much difference. I hope all of you have a great weekend. I am planning to work on a kit I won recently to use for card making. I have not done that before so we shall see what develops from that. So on that note, until next time take care.

God bless,
Verna

These are so cute, I want to get up and do the Irish Jig. Looks like the printer paper works just fine.

Question: Can you tell me how to find other galleries on Gina K. I'd really like to be commenting but I can't figure out how to get there?

I'm doing my Irish jig a little early since you shared these great St Patrick's day cards! Fun stuff, and I've already printed on copy paper too with great results ;)

I love that vintage look! Great cards! I do not envy you with putting the printer cartridges in. We finally got fed up with all our color printers giving us so much trouble and now we have just a black and white one. March definitely is coming in like a Lion!

After all that trouble your printer did a beautiful job! Probably good that you used regular copy paper as the images really did turn out crisp and bright. Very cute!

These are great Verna, I find printing colored images on cardstock come out a little dull, so copy would be a great choice. I do have some brochure paper I use once in a while to get brighter colors... it can always be adhered to card stock if necessary

Love those images! Definitely worth a little extra work to get them printed... love the cards and also love that you used the pieces of the dies that didn't come out in one piece... you're a girl after my own heart! Love it!
