How lucky I am that only a few weeks ago I got a new stamp set from Gina K. Designs which featured lots of stars on it. It is called All Stars and is illustrated by Beth Silaika. So when the Twofer Challenge #13-Stars was announced I knew I was all set to join in.
For my first card I chose to make a graduation card. Besides using the stars and sentiments from the stamp set I also used a die cut of a jumping graduate from the Impression Obsession set called DIE295-R. I could not find any other name for it. I also used a Cottage Cutz double stitched rectangle die to cut out the main panel. All stamps and card stock were from Gina K. Designs and colors used were Denim Blue, Christmas Pine, Tranquil Teal, Tangerine Twist and Black and also white card stock.
My second card was made to honor a Dad on Father's Day. I chose to use only two colors from the Gina K. Designs inks and they were Plum Punch and Wild Dandelion. I also used card stock of those same colors along with white. The main panel for this card was die cut with the MFT Die-Namics Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stackers set.
I was really happy with both of these cards and they are types that I will be needing before long. I know of several who are graduating and I also know a lot of Dads in my family for whom this card would work.
Well, so happy I was able to work on cards for this challenge and I can see where I will be getting lots of mileage from that stamp set.
Well, take care and thanks for the comments. If I don't thank you with an email at least you can see the thanks here. I am so glad you take the time to visit.
God bless,
Verna

2 great cards--totally different looks with the same stars is fun to see!
You sure planned that out well! These are so sweet!!! You're an all-star, too!
This is a great challenge and you did very well. Making them look so different with the same set of stamps. Winner, winner!
Love what you did with those stars!! Makes me want to get that set, you enabler, you. Well done!!!
Two completely different ideas and both very striking! Good work Verna!
Really fun stars! I love the graduate silhouette. Both cards are great. Good for you for using your new items so quickly. I often set them aside for a while, first...
What terrific cards Verna and from the same stamp set. Both so different and both fabulous. Love the colours you've used on both of them and perfect sentiments too.
Hope your foot is on the mend x
Great twofer, Verna. I forget to use my stars and hearts when making cards.
Super twofer, Veran. We too are lucky you picked up that set. Love the graduation card and your masculine one as well. Delightful color and design choices.

2 great cards and use of stars. The graduation card would be really great in the recipient's school colors. I made a grad card too. The super dad card will be a real hit.
Well, this worked out very happily! Cute stars with the patterns and two very useful cards. You're always so good with the Twofer challenge and I'm glad you were able to play along!
Your patterned stars add such a great sense of texture to both cards, Verna ... the first, with that leaping graduate is so full of zest and energy ... and the second is stylish and rather handsome in the purple and yellow colour combo! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
Loving the Twofer you created with these great stars! Great colors too, and I hope the foot is healing well for you! TC!
I'm so glad Ms. Serena Dipity played a role in this month's Twofer so you could use your NBUS stamp set, Verna! It's a great one and I can see why you had to have it! You created two very different designs, both colored beautifully! (That's a great grad silhouette. It shows the exact emotion of the moment!) Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #13! Hugs, Darnell
What fun cards! Love your graduation card! You rocked the challenge!
you are so good at that Twofer challenge.. love both cards!
Wonderful star card designs! Love that jumping graduate silhouette!
Those stars are fantastic, and bring such a fun element to both of your cards! I love the orange and blues with your leaping grad, and that purple/yellow combination is "stellar" as well! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
Great Twofer cards! I love how you used the stars on both cards!
