Single Tree Notecard

I am once again entering a card into the Mod Squad Challenge for this week using some layers on my card and also a layering tree stamp. The tree stamp and the sentiment are from Kitchen Sink Stamps. The tree is one of their many multi-step designs. The dies used for the layers are some Unbranded scalloped stitched rectangle dies.

I am very tired of seeing so much white with all the snow so I decided that some nice Spring green and other shades would be a welcome sight. I can hardly wait to see the grass green up and the trees leaf out. That always cheers me up.

I did not intend to add any gems but I had a little "oops" where there was some smudging in the lower corner so I thought they would cover it up quite nicely.

Well, that is all for me this week. It has been a productive one for me for a change. And, I love to see you stop by and see what I am up to.

Take care and God bless,
Verna

That tree is gorgeous! So lifelike with the different green hues. I finally got out and picked up sticks in the backyard yesterday. The weather is starting to change!

Your little "oops" caused a perfect addition to your gorgeously colored card, Verna! Lovely combination of greens, and an amazing shading of your tree! Our Live Oaks are just finishing dropping their leaves. The other oaks have been green for a few weeks. Next we get the "squigglies" when the Live Oaks are bare. The squigglies pop open and release TONS of yellow pollen - everything becomes heavily coated. Finally the leaves emerge within a week. It's so interesting how Nature adapts to insure that certain trees pollinate at a time. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous card! hugs, de

Such a stunning card. I laughed at your oops, we have all been there. Way to recover there, my friend.

This is the most beautiful tree! This one looks like it could be a little more forgiving when it comes to lining up. Those little gems are good for a lot of things, including oops. They look right at home there in the corner!
