I am once again entering a card into the Mod Squad Challenge for this week using some layers on my card and also a layering tree stamp. The tree stamp and the sentiment are from Kitchen Sink Stamps. The tree is one of their many multi-step designs. The dies used for the layers are some Unbranded scalloped stitched rectangle dies.
I am very tired of seeing so much white with all the snow so I decided that some nice Spring green and other shades would be a welcome sight. I can hardly wait to see the grass green up and the trees leaf out. That always cheers me up.
I did not intend to add any gems but I had a little "oops" where there was some smudging in the lower corner so I thought they would cover it up quite nicely.
Well, that is all for me this week. It has been a productive one for me for a change. And, I love to see you stop by and see what I am up to.
Take care and God bless,
Verna

Oooh, I love all the pretty shades of green on your card Verna and that stately tree is just gorgeous. Like you, I can't wait for some more signs of spring.

When you got the beauty done, I sure hope it gave you a breath of Spring! It is fantastic and so real.
That is an absolutely wonderful tree! Great card!
That tree is gorgeous! So lifelike with the different green hues. I finally got out and picked up sticks in the backyard yesterday. The weather is starting to change!
Great job on the stamping of this tree! It looks vibrant, alive and reminds me of spring! Beautiful!
Your little "oops" caused a perfect addition to your gorgeously colored card, Verna! Lovely combination of greens, and an amazing shading of your tree! Our Live Oaks are just finishing dropping their leaves. The other oaks have been green for a few weeks. Next we get the "squigglies" when the Live Oaks are bare. The squigglies pop open and release TONS of yellow pollen - everything becomes heavily coated. Finally the leaves emerge within a week. It's so interesting how Nature adapts to insure that certain trees pollinate at a time. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous card! hugs, de
Great card and so spring like:-) That is one of my favorite stamp sets
Such a stunning card. I laughed at your oops, we have all been there. Way to recover there, my friend.
Absolutely gorgeous, Verna! The layering tree stamp is beautiful! Great reason to send a card, Just Because, I like those the best!
Every time you use this stamp, I want to run over to KSS to get it, I have to remind myself that i don't layer well. You have truly master this and I love that you kept it CAS.
Great to see all the spring green on your tree! Beautiful card!!
Oh yea, I feel the spring.
Gorgeous layout, loving the greens and yes I can't wait for Spring my end....Good idea to add the gems x
This is the most beautiful tree! This one looks like it could be a little more forgiving when it comes to lining up. Those little gems are good for a lot of things, including oops. They look right at home there in the corner!
This is gorgeous, and yes, agree, time for green. The shades in the tree just make it look alive.
LOVE your tree...wow it looks so real! I like the green too...this white snow can go!
What a gorgeous tree image & love the various shades of green for this card!
