I first took some of the pattern paper from the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Pattern Paper Pack. Then with the two sets of stencils from the Aloha Fill-In Stencils and my blending brushes I used shades of orange to fill in the white Hibiscus areas. The next step was to take that nice big THANKS sentiment from the Aloha Friend stamp set and I inked it several times with black ink by using my Misti so that I could get a good impression. I then adhered this panel to the front of a light orange card base and in the inside I added some stamped matching Hibiscus and foliage images so that the inside and outside were tied together.
Just a quick burst of inspiration on this Fourth of July. It was a time to sit for a bit and make a card for the challenge at Double D's. I hope you like it as much as I do. I bought these sets a couple years ago and in that amount of time I only used one piece of pattern paper. So it was high time these got some love.
