Well, the bean crop is going well this year and it is keeping me busy. I saw all those beans and got the bright idea to make a CAS card with some beans on it. Hey! I am no artist but how hard can it be to draw some beans, right? Well, it is not as easy as it looks but I did make a couple beans look passable. At any rate, I had some fun before diving into working on the beans. I hope it makes you chuckle a bit to see my feeble attempt too.
I drew the beans and then used Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol to color them. I have no idea who I will send a card like this to but maybe just will keep it as it reminder to me of a nice summer day when the beans were abundant and how it was fun to create a card at the spur of the moment. Can't get much CAS then this. Hahaa!
I hope all are doing well. My week is filled with doctor appointments, a funeral, and church activities so this might be my only crafty design for the week. In the meantime, take care.
God bless,
Verna

What a sweet bean card! You ARE an artist! I imagine you can pictures beans in your head after growing and picking them for years. This would be so cool to send to a neighbor, another farmer or gardening friend! I love the way you sketched and colored them!

Haha, what a cute cute and fun card, I am jealous of all your green beans, I didn't do a garden this year being gone and all!
Cute card. You did a great job drawing and coloring the beans. This would be perfect if you give away jars of your canned beans or bags of your frozen beans.
This is fabulous! You're so creative! "Bean" hiding your other artistic talent, haven't you!

This is just plain fun and a great reminder of it being harvest time!
So, this is what you've "bean" up to. It really is cute. I saw a card on Jennifer Dove's blog that had a radish today. There are vegetables everywhere but in my backyard. You did a good job. You really did. [Bunny]
Those beans look just like the real thing, great artwork and fun pun! Looks like you have your hands full for a bit, plus a busy week too. Stay safe.
Oh my gosh, Verna, only YOU would have an idea like that. I LOVE it, it just made me smile. Beans are so much work, I admire your tenacity with your garden. It's a way of life, right? Stay well, my friend. I hope you decide to draw more veggies......you are so talented!!!!
LOL! It's a fantastic creation, Verna! I imagine several people would enjoy receiving it! This fall Jack is going to grow green beans (we prefer blue lake) in his new green house that he has been building since May. We won't be able to grow in it during the summer months, but it will be great rest of the year! This past year, I fell back in love with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. It's so easy to blend and control the tiny spaces! LOVE your sweet CAS beany card! hugs, de
This is such a cute card! The sentiment is perfect to go with your lovely beans!

Oh my how cuuute! LOVE your hand drawn beans!! And I'm so sorry you had a funeral... hugs.
Super fun card!
Those beans look entirely real to me! I would not laugh at this, other than to giggle at the punny sentiment. I do love a punny sentiment. You may be done with the beans by now. We've been away or otherwise occupied for days and I'm in the process of getting back in the routine.
