I managed to make a few quick Autumn themed cards today using one of the printed papers from the Williamsburg Memories paper pack from Artstystamper. This one is called Leaf Fall Sidewalk. I simply printed out the pattern paper from Photos and then divided it into fourths so that I was able to get four cards from it. I then added a sentiment from a stamp set from Joy Clair called Hello Autumn. I am so glad to have handy papers I can print out so that I can get some card making in. And I wish all of you a Happy Autumn!
On a personal note I apologize for this being a bit late for the first day of Fall. I have been going back and forth to several doctor appointments of late and finally ended up having a biopsy and found out that I have breast cancer. So on October 8 I will be having a masectomy. So this may mean I will perhaps not be doing a lot of card making for awhile. It is a good thing I have most of my Christmas cards done. I still need Halloween cards for my shut ins and will try to get them made too before I have the surgery.
I am in good hands though with a wonderful surgeon. I may need to have chemo after that is over but time will tell. I won't be having radiation unless it is absolutely necessary. The good news is that it is the early stages and they don't think it has progressed to my lymph nodes. I need a haircut bad but I guess if having chemo makes it fall out that will solve that problem. Hahaa!
So all you gals keep up on the mammograms. I never had any issues before but this one showed something amiss. So I guess you never know. Take care everyone and I hope the Covid is missing you all and I hope we don't connect with it either.
Oh, Verna. I'm so sorry to hear about the breast cancer. I'm glad it was caught early. I'll be praying for you. I hope the doctors get all of the cancer and your body responds well to what they give you. Big hugs to you. [Bunny]
Oh I am so sorry to hear your terrible news. I do hope all works out well and will keep you in my prayers.Take care.xxx

You have made a beautiful card! So sorry to hear about your cancer. At least they caught it early, so that’s good. Praying for you and your doctors.
Verna, I am keeping you in my prayers. I have two sisters and both were found to have this within month's of each other. I am checked every six months, now. They caught it early. I pray the process goes well.
When I contacted you yesterday, I didn't know about your diagnosis. I am so sorry to hear that, but you are a woman of faith and I know that you are in good hands. I am so glad that it was caught early and that you will have treatment. Best wishes, you will be in my prayers. Hugs and I love your fall card, it qualifies for Creative Confetti Challenge, (hint).
So sorry to hear this news, Verna. Your strong faith will get you through this. I'll be praying for you too. Your card is beautiful.
Oh, Verna! I am so sorry. You are such a good person & great, inspiring cardmaker. I will keep you in my prayers. Thinking of you!
Verna, I am so sorry to hear of your cancer diagnosis. Thankfully, it was caught early and that it does not appear to have spread. Praying that your surgery and any other treatment you need is successful and that you tolerate it well. Draw strength from the love and support of your family and friends and in knowing that God will be with you through the challenging days ahead.
I LOVE the digital paper you used on your autumn card, and am amazed (but not at all surprised!) that you are still thinking of the needs of others and trying to get more cards made while dealing with your own medical issues!
I am SO sorry to hear this news Verna. I'm thankful that you caught it early and I will be praying that the treatment works and you don't have to endure radiation. I'm also thankful you have such a wonderful doctor. My thoughts are with you my friend. I hope all goes well and you are back to crafting fast. Big hugs!!
I'm so sorry to hear this and I'm adding you to my prayer list. Catching it early before it spread is what you want to hear. You have a great support system with the blogging community, family and friends and all the prayers for your surgery and recovery. What beautiful paper this is for your fall card, it is lovely. Sending hugs.
So sorry to hear this news Verna. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you need some more Halloween cards, let me know and I will send you some right away as I have extras.
Sending prayers and speedy recovery! Scary for you - know I will be thinking of you!!! Meanwhile, that paper is amazing -- I bet it made a great set of cards.
Sending prayers for a full and speedy recovery, Verna. Support of family, confidence in your doctors and God will help you on this journey.
Verna, I'm very sorry to hear the news about your breast cancer. I have added you to my prayer list and hope they find it is isolated to the breast and has not spread so you will not have to have prolonged treatment after your surgery. Please just rest and recover and don't fret about your shut-ins. It is not an easy time, but every day you will get a tiny bit better until it is all behind you. You have a lot of friends inside your computer, as well as your family and "real" friends, pulling for you! Lots of love, Darnell
Hi Verna: I was sorry to learn of your diagnosis and am sending prayers your way. I had a mastectomy 13 years ago and underwent 6 months of chemo and 36 weeks of radiation. It was a miserable year in one way and an enlightening one in another. While I don't wish illness on anyone, I can assure you it isn't all bad and there is always some good to be found. You are a strong woman and have a deep faith to help you get through this. I will keep you in my thoughts and if I can be of any help, please reach out. All the best, Johanna
Oh Verna what a shock - praying that all will go well for you - and of course you have the ultimate surgeon as your companion and strength throughout!
Prayers and Blessings
Verna, I read your blog regularly but don't often comment. You are always so kind to comment on my Flickr account. It was ahock to read your post today. Have strength and trust that everything will be fine. There are so many survivors out there, including me. I was very lucky and caught it early so only a couple of surgeries and radiation over 13 years ago. Take care and I'll keep you in my prayers.
Love, hugs and PRAYERS, Verna! You are an amazing person with a grand heart. Your card is beautiful, you're the master of those digitals... Will keep you in our prayers, but just know that the Lord is your healer and you take care of yourself.
Oh, dear Verna! You were blindsided by some distressing news, but I know you have things in hand and are on it, even joking about your hair. I'm glad you shared because it's a good reminder to all the women reading this. I have a mammogram every year and mine is coming up in October. Self exam in between mammograms is also very important. Your faith will see you through this. I do also want to tell you that I admire your beautiful card. Lovely Bronte quote with it.
My heart is heavy with the announcement that you have breast cancer. There is a very large prayer network within the crafting community that will be in your corner to help you through the difficult days ahead, and I will be one of them. Just worry about yourself for now and the rest will fall into place. Your autumn card is beautiful and I'm sending hugs and wishes of the best possible kind.
Oh no, Verna, I am so sad to read this. You must be beside yourself with worry. I will be praying for your complete recovery. Please keep us posted afterwards, if you are able to use the computer. I will be thinking about you and praying for you. I firmly believe in the power of prayer.
Verna. First of all gorgeous Fall card. I am SO sorry!!! You have such a wonderful outlook though and I am sending you all the love and prayers... be strong and I hope you're back to card making before you know it...you are a strong lady!
I'm so sorry to hear you've got to take on a fight against breast cancer now, but wonderful they found it early. A sense of humor always helps & clearly you have one--made me laugh! Beautiful Fall card, too! Praying all goes well, Verna.
Sorry to read this Verna. But I'm glad you caught it early and prognosis is good! I will be praying for you, and for them to get it all and no radiation. Hugs and prayers your way!

Thinking of you today. Hoping your surgery went well. Praying for a full and speedy recovery.
Beautiful fall card and great paper... as I am trying to do some catch up on comments I am running a bit backwards. I read you had the surgery first and you are at home recovering which is good news. Being on top of the situation and making sure you follow through with mammos is so important. We will all look forward to your speedy recovery and your speedy return to your wonderful card making. It is always a pleasure to find the time to enjoy yours cards.
