Well, I think it is time I start working on some Valentines for my shut ins and for a few of the family members. I am not sure if I will make all one design or just a random array of them, but at least I have one done and this one will be entered into the Mix It Up Monday challenge at Stamp TV. Doing that challenge is always an incentive to me to work on something fun!
Using the sentiment over and over in the red and black colors of ink worked for making a pattern paper design. And, then I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder called Heart Blocks over the background to add some texture. That was the only stamping on the card and the sentiment used is from Gina K. Designs Stately Flowers 6 set which is illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.
I did quite a bit of layering though with cherry red, pink, white and black card stocks. To finish the card I added some pearls along the pattern paper strip which is from the Gina K. Designs Fight Like a Girl pack.
I wish everyone a wonderful day and hope you can do some creative fun too! Thanks for stopping by.
God bless,
Verna

Love your design. The band of hearts with the pearls makes a fabulous focal image. Great job at placing those greetings. That is always hard for me.
Love how you created the background with the multi stamped sentiment and your heart embossing. Great layout and layering. Your colour choice is spot on and your finishing touch of pearls. A real WOW card.
Your card looks great with the pearls on the diagonal, Verna! "Your" dp looks great! Love the perpendicular placement of the stamped phrases on the background! Very pretty! hugs, de
I LOVE the repetition of sentiments on your background!
I was working with that over the Christmas season! Never thought to keep it through other holidays.
TFS, now, I am inspired to do more of it!
This is just a fabulous card, Verna, love the bling! Yay, for bling! teehee~
One of my most favorite Valentine cards I have seen Verna! Really wonderful!
Love the way you stamped the sentiment in two colours. I would not have thought of that! Very pretty card.
I love that you made your own patterned paper. It is perfect for this design! Great job, Verna.
