Bisters and Rosebuds

Well, I am not sure if I will get time to stamp much or be creative this next week or so as it will be a week in which I will be cleaning and spending time with doctor appointments again. And, also the last of the carpentry will be done too this week. So I thought this Palm Sunday afternoon I would make one last card and then start putting all my creative supplies away.

The background of my card front panel was done with Blue Bisters on white glossy paper. I then stamped the rosebuds from Stampinback whose images are available at I Brake for Stamps in black Gina K. Designs dye ink. I used Copics to color in the roses. I also used the black dye ink to stamp the sentiment which is also from Stampinback.

This panel was then placed on a Spellbinder A2 Fancy Weave Frame die cut of black card stock before I mounted it onto the white base card panel.

I finished the card by adding the smallest butterfly from the set of seven found on the Cheery Lynn Designs D130 Butterfly Bundles which is a die cut and emboss set. This butterfly die was inked up with black ink before I die cut  and embossed it on  Mohagany Bisters watercolored yellow matte card stock. I then inked it again with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. By creasing the butterfly in the middle and adding some popping tape down the center of it I was able to create the illusion of the butterfly in motion.

Since this fits the challenge for this week at the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog challenge  I guess I will enter it in. One never knows....maybe I will be lucky!

I hope your week is fantastic! And, if I am quiet this week and perhaps the next don't be surprised as there is a lot going on these next ten or so days.

God bless,
Verna

Hmmm....I have never tried my Brushos on glossy. Now I'm intrigued - will have to give it a try. Your card is fabulous - love all your elements, especially the roses and butterfly.

wow! I'm always excited to see what you do with Bisters. Do you usually use the glossy with them? I love that they will dry on it. Verna, I'm sorry you'll be visiting the doctors so much and having a procedure done, but I do pray that everything will make the rest of your Spring and Summer more enjoyable! Love this card, and your brilliant red in the rosebud is amazing! xo
