Easter Eggs Card

Yesterday I cut out a lot of ovals which I used for a stencil for an Easter egg design. Well, I saved those ovals and today I created a little mini scene of the eggs nestled in the grass ready for the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

I took those die cut ovals from Cheery Lynn Designs and using a masking method added stripes of inks to them. Then I stamped the little cross image from Sparkle N Sprinkles Stamp Set 383 called Religious Sympathy on each one. I colored the cross in with a white gel pen and then added some Wink of Stella to provide a bit of shimmer.

The sentiment I used is also from Sparkle N Sprinkle and I think even though you cannot find it on her web site, if you asked for that certain sentiment I bet Margaret could find it for you. Just refer to my blog post so she can see the sentiment I used.

I used My Favorite Things Grassy Edges Die-namics die set for the grass and used two shades of green card stock. I finished the scene by sponging on some blue ink for the sky.

I am entering this in the Mod Squad Blog Challenge for this week in which the theme is Easter.

Well, this will be my last Easter card I do unless I decide to work on more for next year. I am enjoying using my new die cutting machine called the Crossover. I am so happy I purchased it.

Have a great day and thanks for your comments.

Super ideal. Love being able to use both parts of the die cuts and these two cards did it perfectly and so spring like

Verna, this is a beautiful Easter card. Don't you just love making Easter eggs. I am going to have my little, almost four year old, granddaughter over to make some Easter egg cut outs, and treat boxes. I can't wait. Thank you for the inspiration.
