Not a lot of crafting getting done this week with being laid up but with a little each day I finally finished a card design just in time to enter it into the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog challenge for this week. The theme is Easter.
For my egg I used Cherry Lynn Designs DL208 Lace Egg Two. I cut it out in two different colors and in fact found scraps that were perfect. Then I applied Versamark clear ink to the lace eggs and added Sparkle Embossing Powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. It is a clear embossing powder with just a hint of glitter in it. Once I had this done I glued these eggs to a background card stock and fussy cut around them. In the center of each egg is a cross like pattern and I added some markers to those open areas so that my cross would be more predominate. I like this egg die because that brings on the Christian reason for this special day.
The grass is cut from multiple colors of green card stock and I used a set of grass dies called My Favorite Things Grassy Edges which is made by Die-Namics.
I then sponged on some light blue color in the upper open area to look like sky. And, over that I stamped the sentiment in black ink. This is an older stamp I own and love. It is or was made by Sonlight Impressions. I am not sure if the company is in business anymore at all, but I really liked this big bold sentiment so I used it on my card.
Thanks for looking and I hope your weekend is a great one.
God bless,
Verna

Your Easter eggs are GORGEOUS! I love how they are nestled in your soft green grass, super cute idea! Hope you're on the mend!
Hi, Verna! Love how you accentuated the cross in these sweet Easter Eggs! Beautiful card design - I have not used any grass yet - I wonder if I even own a grass die? LOL I need to look. Hope your week-end is lovely - we have the AC torqued - it was in the upper 80s today (sheesh! what happened to spring?) xo
The eggs are perfect in the tall grass and the sponging is soo pretty. Good luck on the challenge. I hope you are feeling better soon so you can craft until your heart is content.
Wonderful Easter card, Verna, your cards are stunning. Good luck and thanks for joining in on the fun at Cheery Lynn Designs challenge.
Verna this is just beautiful! I love the pretty eggs here. Thanks so much for joining us in our challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs this week.
Great Easter card! I love the sparkle on your eggs. I hope you feel better soon.
How pretty! Beautiful card!
Such a pretty layout - great take on the challenge. I love those filigree eggs and the grass - well done my dear. Hoping you are on the mend - behave yourself!!! {{{HUGS}}}
Oh how pretty! I love that you've tucked the eggs behind the grass - creates depth and dimension. Well done, Verna.

That is a nice big Easter sediment; the two I have are small and smaller. Your Easter card is so pretty, Verna! Those eggs are exquisite sitting in the grass and what a fine job of sky-making you did! I hope you are getting a bit better every day!! Hugs, Darnell
Verna, these Easter eggs are fantastic looking. I love how their sitting in the grass like that...just waiting to be plucked up by some lucky Easter egg hunter!
