Another birthday card but this time I think it is more of a feminine one. I used an Inkadinkadoo stamp set called Doodle Flowers. I placed all the floral stamps on to my MISTI and then stamped the design all at once with Momento Black Ink. The sentiment I added is from the Birthday Balloons set by Gina Marie Designs. I stamped that sentiment with black ink and did it randomly so that the patterned design could be used vertically or horizontally. I opted to do mine horizontally.
I started out with pink card stock and after I had the flowers stamped onto it I colored them in with some new Sharpie Permanent Marker Pens my daughter and family gave me for Christmas. I really like how they showed up on the pink card stock too. It was a great way to try out a lot of the various markers and see their colors. Once I had the design colored in I die cut it with a Memory Box Cross Stitched Border Frame die. I also cut another pink plain layer to put inside the card. All was then added to a black card base.
I think this will be a design that will work for all ages. It has a bright and cheery look with all those fun colors I think.
This card I will be entering into the Double D's Blog Challenge for their 2nd Blog Birthday/Anniversary. They have a mood board and one section had a lot of colorful flowers on it.
Well, I again had a great time and my sore toe is not near so stressed as I am wearing slippers. It needs time to heal up without a lot of pressure on it. It was a good reason to get inky again too as I could sit and stamp! But now I need to get the evening meal ready. I hope your day went well. Thanks for visiting and for the wonderful comments.
God bless,
Verna

You've done some wonderful stamping on this card, and I just love all those pretty colors meshed into one design. The cross-stitched edges add a real homespun feel too! Take care of that toe now!!
Fun to see coloring on colored cardstock! Very festive!

This is very pretty! I really like how you stamped the sentiment repeatedly. It seems like a confetti of greetings!
Gosh, the coloring sure shows up great on the pink card stock. I do think this is a wonderful card for all ages. Love how you incorporated the sentiment into the design and, yes, it could be used in either orientation. Good to see you back with another card for our DD celebration, Verna!
Such a fun card...awesome stamping Verna!
What a fun card, and looks like it was so much fun to create. Love the pink background. Super cute!!
Very fun indeed. Such a smiley, happy card for sure. Like that you did it so it could be turned too.
Really great use of the set on this card, and didn't the Misti make things a bit easier to create this design?! Love the bright happy colors - and of course the x stitching on the edges. I like the way you've done the sentiment and yes, this card would be perfect for Anyone, of Any age! Clever way to use this set to create a background as well as your focal point. TFS &Hugs
