I saw the animation You Move Me stamp and die set bundle from Stampin' Up! and so I had to order it. It arrived this weekend so yesterday afternoon I started to make an animation card using those products. I finished it up this morning. Well, I am so pleased with the animation grid die especially as it cut with only two passes compared to several tries and botches with the Uchi one. Both times I used my extra metal shim which is to be used with intricate die cuts. So I think this SU set is a winner in my book. But it might be the die cutting machine that I use that makes a difference.
Here is my first attempt with this set and I am so pleased with the look. If you think you are interested in this type of card I urge you to check this set out.
I had to make my own frame for the grid so I used Gina K. Designs Small Square die set and it was a perfect fit for my frame. The pattern paper used was from My Favorite Things. I used the largest square and the middle square dies from the set. And, I did a direct to stamp inking with my ink pads for all the images and sentiment. I just happened to have some Memento ones out so I went with them. The card stock used is from Gina K. Designs.
I don't do videos but trust me when you take the tab at the top and move the inner design you would swear that hummingbird was flitting around in there. And, I love that there are sentiments with the set. I have not added a sentiment inside as I am not sure for what particular occasion I will be using this card.
Well, I hope you are enjoying my adventure into making animation cards. I no doubt will be doing one of these again soon but I have lots of other goodies that I want to play with as well. I hope everyone's week is off to a good start.
God bless,
Verna

What a gorgeous card,love this.xxx
You did a marvelous job with this pretty card! (I happen to love hummingbirds too!) Good work at using Gina K squares to fit for your mats too. I like your courage in trying this new set...the center part looked like corrugated cardboard with the hummer stamped, and I'm trying to think "how did she get such even coverage?". I only saw the catalog on line, so guess I missed this set. And wouldn't have known what animation was in this sense! It's cheerful with the happy colors, and sunshine is very welcome today! This should go to someone really special! TFS & Hugs
Checked out a video on SU! Am on the hunt for this now! Love the effect that you got with the hummingbird. Like Mary - I thought it looked like it was stamped on corrugated card. Very cute card with the cheerful colors.
Wow this is awesome! What a fun card!
You rocked this animation card, and I wish I could see it in motion, but I'll just take your word for it that it's amazing :) Love the card, well done!
Wow, you really did a great job! I have this set -- it is VERY cool to watch!! Great frame you made, too ♥
How fun!!! You are braver than I, these cards look difficult!!! Great design too, this just makes me smile!
What a great idea Verna! I haven't seen these cards before but this is lovely!
It's just so totally amazing how these animation cards work. A person really needs to see a video to understand. I don't often watch videos, but I did this time. Fascinating! What brilliant mind came up with this, I wonder? Your card is fun and pretty, Verna!
Hi, Verna! Your card is beautiful! I love hummingbirds! Just popping in to thank you for the warm welcome back to my blog! I am doing things differently now and won't be able to visit much but wanted to say hello! Enjoy your evening!
Oh wow, I bet that is so cool! It looks very pretty in your pictures.
I also adore hummingbirds--they are magical in design and to watch! I bet this card is a lot of FUN to play with! Looks great from here!
So much fun! would love to see the hummingbird flutter!
But you did make another one pretty quickly now didn't you?! I love going backwards...lol! This is beautiful too. Good tip... so maybe I'll try an SU set for the animation... thanks for the inspiration!
