I only got in on the tail end of the Rudolph Days Challenges last year so this year I hope I can join in every month. It is a good way to keep a bit ahead of my Christmas card designs.
My choice for the January challenge was to use Gina K. Designs Merry & Bright stamp set. I stamped the images using my MISTI and then hand cut them out leaving a white border. I had a white card base so I added a strip of black and white polka dot paper from My Favorite Things over the top of the card base and then layered my poinsettia design over that. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine black ink and then I finished the design by adding some black rhinestone gems.
And, yes I know it is a CAS design but for some reason I am always inclined to make that type. And I am really happy with the way it turned out.
Well, we have enjoyed a warm up in our weather as it was in the mid 40's today but I am told that we are going to cool down again and have a colder February. So much for the January thaw! At any rate, I was able to get out a bit and finally get a haircut. I was looking really shaggy! LOL I hope you are ready for the weekend again. Take care and thanks for the visit.
God bless,
Verna

Really nice! I love this clean and simple look. Don't often do cards like this, and I always like the look. Well done!
Lovely card, Verna, with the happy bright colors, and the drama of a fun sentiment and black and white dotted panel! hugs, de
I love the clean line of this beauty! The little strip of black and white really lets the poinsettia pop! Just beautiful!
Lovely CAS caed!

CASimply beautiful Verna. Everything just blends together perfectly.
Great way to get your stash going! These are beautiful!
What a lovely bright and contemporary deign.
I love CAS with plenty of white. It can be tricky to give it style and interest, but you've done just that. Crisp red on white with a bit of green and then the black polka dot strip to make it all pop -- perfect, Verna!
This card has such a lovely modern feel. The black and white DP was a wonderful choice for this striking card.
Thanks for taking part in the January Rudolph Days Challenge.
I love how CAS this is, Verna! You have kept everything so clean and crisp ~ the colors just pop off each other! Pinning!! Hugs, Darnell
Beautiful CAS Verna... Love how the pointsettia's pop against all of the white
It's a most striking CAS with the pop of the red poinsettias against the black & white dots border. It's crisp, clean, festive and so very pretty! A great card to start 2018's Rudy Day. TFS & Hugs
So pretty, your Poinsettias! The polka dotted strip in the back makes them really stand out! Too bad I can't convince you to play at Muse Christmas Visions ;)
You've been so busy making beautiful cards! LOVE how striking the flowers are on this one and the simple but beautiful design... fantastic!
