As much fun it would look on a card for a 95 year old man if it would have 95 balloons I decided to nix that idea as that is a lot of balloons. But balloons I think work for anyone and any age so I still stuck to the idea of having several balloons. I hope our good friend and former neighbor Cliff will like this card.
The wonderful variety of balloons are from the Gina K. Designs Beautiful Balloons and matching die sets and they were inked up with Gina K. Designs inks. The cake is from the Crafters Companion Cake Party stamp set and this was stamped onto a separate sheet of paper and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. After fussy cutting it out I placed it in front of the balloons.
I hand printed most of the sentiment on the balloons except for the Happy. I was going to add Birthday too, but alas it was a tad to big for the balloon so I instead hand printed the rest. And, to make it look like confetti I took various colors of pencils and made little dots here and there.
Well, that was a fun project I did a few days ago but since I had to have my eye checkup done yesterday I could not see well enough to tell if a photo was blurry even if I wanted to. Those drops sure do play havoc on the eyes. And everything was looking blurry. LOL So today they were back in good working order again. And, the good news I don't need any changes made for my glasses and eyes are doing great still even if I am partially blind in one eye. So God is good!
Well, happy weekend all. We got down into the 30's last night so it really felt like Fall around here. The furnace was kicking in more often with temps that low. So if you are in a colder area stay warm and if a hot area then stay cool.
God bless,
Verna

Those colorful balloons look fun and festive and someone who's turning 95 will surely enjoy this fun card! Well done. Your temps went down to 30 overnight, and I had to turn the a/c back on again today LOL 92 forecast for Wednesday which will be October?! WOW!
Oh, this is a fun card! 95 balloons would be a lot of stamping and/or die cutting! This looks perfect, Verna! Good news about your eyes. Gee, 30s already? Reports said cold front here this weekend, but it's beautiful outside today, if a little cooler than it has been. Rained this morning, then sun. Perfect!
I'm always drawn to balloons, but think 95 would have been a bit much--haha! This is a darling BD card & I bet he loves it!
This is adorable, Verna. I'm sure Cliff will love it! Especially like the confetti addition!
Ha, ha I think that you would need to make a 12 x 12 card to fit the 95 balloons on it, so good that you nixed that. You made it personal by adding your own sentiment and that made it very special. Love the confetti background. I have even more respect for you now that I know that you are sight impaired.
95 - WOW!!! What a fun, colorful card! The layered die cut balloons in front of the stamped ones look great and add a lot of depth to the design. Great idea to make the confetti with the pencils; it looks amazing! Your colored and hand-cut cake looks great, too! I'm sure Cliff will love it!!
Glad to hear your eyes are doing well!
What a cheery, colourful celebration card, Verna and I am sure Cliff will love it! I'm so glad to hear the good news that your eyes are okay - blurry eyes would definitely make crafting harder!
Hugs
Carol x
95 - my goodness that is one big number!!! You would need a real big card for all those balloons! But this is just perfect and for sure a lot of fun with all those happy colors!
But on the other side - 95 candles would melt the cake so balloons are good! This is a great guy card and he will be thrilled with it. I hate to see it get cold. It is in the 90's here today and that is a new record for this late in the year.
Such a thoughtful card for your good friend Cliff, which I am sure will love it. Balloons are always fun for any age of birthday. Love the mix of colours and patterns on the wonderful balloons and the confetti looks fun too x. Great news about your eye results Verna x Yes Autumn has arrived in Scotland x Stay warm x. I have had computer problems so I am playing catch up x
This is a PERFECT card -- confetti, balloons and all! It sure does look like a fun Birthday
