February Rudolph Days

This time of year we are having a mixed bag of tricks weatherwise. It lots of times snows a bit overnight and then in the daytime it is melting the snow away as we have been having temperatures in the 40's in the daytime. So I can imagine that this card might depict what a lot of snowmen look like now. I used a digital set from Jan's Digitals called Magic of the Season. I think it makes for a nice card for winter and for the holiday season as well. The image was already colored so I used that for this card.

I brushed on some light blue to make a definite division between the snow line and the sky. I hope that I succeeded in getting that point across. It is a CAS card but I guess that is my style and what I like to make. I made six of this design. I am entering this in the February Rudolph Days.

Well my last wound care appointment I had the wound vac taken off. Now I have a small bandage on and they packed the tiny wound I have left with some collagen and silver treatment. I still have to go back twice a week to have it changed but at least I don't have to trip over the tube from the wound vac anymore. I got so used to it that subconsciously I sometimes still feel like I have it on. LOL So that is my good news. Also my hubby is well on the mend now too from his surgery so life is getting better.

It seems all of your comments are going into my spam folder these days. So I don't always see your comments right away. Before they came to my inbox. But even if I see them later on I still want you to know I appreciate each and every comment. Everyone have a great weekend. I am in cleaning mode these days as we are getting guests Saturday.

Take care everyone and God bless, Verna

Cute image, but I have to feel sorry for the poor fella! Your snow to sky division works perfectly, giving the feel of each separately.
I'm so happy to hear that you're healing, as is your hubby! God is good, and He is blessing you.
Stay well and enjoy your company.

What a delightful card, Verna, especially paired with the snowy bank and your all-too-realistic story! 40s are cold to us thin-blooded Floridians, and that is your HIGH! Yikes! LOL It's so interesting what a little geographic change can make in our country. Leslie and I talk about that all the time, since she lives as far northwest as you can get, and I live as far southeast as you can get LOL I'll be casing your card, because it is OH SO CUTE! Wishing you a great day, and hoping you are feeling much better these days. hugs, de

This gorgeous card reminds me of the first time we watched The Snoman film with our grandson, he was horrified when the snowman melted. Thank you for joining in the fun at the Rudolph Days Challenge this month.

I love this card and that sentiment along with the image just made me laugh. So true but I hope not until next year. That is good news about you and your hubby. I am always hanging up in the tube from my oxygen concentrator too so I sure know what you mean.

Take care.

What a great image that is, and good that you made several of them and jumped ahead on your Christmas cards! It's not so easy this time of year. I love this, Verna! Also good news that you're rid of the drain tube and your hubby is doing well. May life keep on getting better!

I love this card. The sponging really gives your image the boost it needed. You really have an eye for those things. We are getting more sunshiny days and some warmer temps. I am loving it after those 10 days of frigid temps we had nit long ago. Thanks, for sharing the fab card.
