You're A Hoot!

Today I worked with a wonderful set from Sparkle N Sprinkle which is titled Stamp Set 432 Bird Swirl. This set has such cute images and I thought it perfect for the Mod Squad Blog Challenge in which we are to use an animal. And, since little birds and owls counted I went with the owl image and placed him on a branch from the set.

I used Ivory card stock for the base of the card and the Die-Namics Oval Decorative Doily die is cut from Dark Chocolate card stock. Both card stock colors are both from Gina K. Designs. I also used the Dark Chocolate to layer the pattern paper on. The pattern paper is also from the Spring Parade paper pack from Gina K. Designs.

I used inks from Gina K. Designs in Dark Chocolate and Warm Cocoa to stamp the branch, the owl and the sentiment onto white card stock. These images were then colored in with Copic markers, I then took a Spellbinder oval die and cut out the scene.

I finished the card when all layers were adhered together by adding some brown rhinestones from Pebbles.

Thanks for looking and thanks also for all the lovely comments.

God bless,
Verna

Just a striped piece of pattern paper. But I can see where many might think it is crimped or corrugated.
