Tulip Tag

I don't often make tags and if it had not been for a challenge to do so I most likely would not have made one. So I hope I pulled off a nice looking tag with the stamps and dies I used for it. When I bought the tulip vase stamp set I did not realize what a huge stamp it was so therefore only a portion of the design shows on the tag. But it still is a good representation of Spring.

I used the biggest of the luggage tags from Cutplorations (from Stamplorations line) and added the tulip design from the Stamplorations Layered Vase set. When I stamped the solid parts of the tulip I realized that there was a fine line crease along the edges of the tag and therefore the stamping did not take hold in those places. So I went and took a marker which matched the colors and colored over those solid parts. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I wanted a bit more detail so I took a black marker and decided to doodle on a simple dotted look close to the edge. I also brushed on some blue inside the tag and around the outer portion brushed on some pink. The last addition was some ribbon I had in my stash.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Mod Squad Challenge-Project
Double D Challenge-Welcome Spring

A cloudy and dreary day here with some rain and snow mix coming down. A good day to stay inside. I hope your day and week has gone well and that all of you are still healthy. Until next time, take care!

God bless,
Verna

I really like the stamp and, yes, it's rather large but good for partial stamping. You did a great job on your tag!

I like the way the tulip is filled in with color but not all the way. It is a nice look. Great tag, I almost never make them except at Christmas time. Stay well!

I just love how you have stamped that large image and your tag looks so contemporary and I love it Verna x. There's only one thing to do when the weather is dreary and that is to stay in and craft. Mind you I suspect a lot more of us will doing that for the foreseeable future! x.

Hello, Verna! I don't make a lot of tags either but I do like to make a few. This is gorgeous! I recently got this stamp and haven't inked it yet - thank you for inspiring! I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and healthy.

I think it's a perfect tag, and using a look that is not often scene on a card -- off the edge! Very pretty tag, Verna -- stay safe!

I love the shape of the die and the flower stamp is beautiful. It is artsy and looks great on a tag. The only tags I make are for gifts but I may have to rethink that and use one on a card.

Your tag is fabulous! I don't make tags for tags very often at all. I usually use tags as a design element on a card. I probably should make tags to add to packages! Yours is so striking. I really like the dotted border you added. Beautiful! Wishing you a happy and healthy week! Hugs!

I love your tag, Verna! You did a great job of coloring and using that large image on your shaped tag! I also like how you fixed things with your marker and added the dots to bring in the eye of the beholder!! Take care 😷 and be safe!! Hugs, Darnell
