Baby Oh Baby!

I find myself in need of a baby shower card and so this time I pulled out this stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle called Baby Oh Baby! I thought it a perfect set for making my card. I can see making this for a Mother's Day card for the mom-to-be too!

Since the happy couple are expecting a boy I went with a lot more blue in the design. My background was made just using the Baby Oh Baby sentiment repeatedly in various colors. I then did some distressing with blue ink around the edges. The Mom To Be sentiment was die cut out with a double stitched circle die from Cottage Cutz and again I did some distressing with blue ink on it.

The young lady image was colored with a combination of Copics and Sharpies. I did no special blending but simply colored in the image. And, the background was stamped with various ink colors using Gina K. Design inks. After I had the young lady colored I fussy cut it and placed it on the background.

I am entering this in the following challenge:
Double D's Challenge

Well, I must confess I am in a stamping funk. For some reason I have lost my mojo but am mainly stamping according to my needs. So maybe that shows in my work but I still think this looks fairly nice anyway.

I hope all of you are having a great week. Hard to believe it is Wednesday already. I guess they call that "Hump" day. When you get through with Wednesday you are over the hump. LOL

Thanks so much for visiting. You have a great evening.

God bless,
Verna

Well Verna I think it looks EXTRA nice, and I love how you've created this fun background with just the simple effects you did. It's perfect with the expectant Mom, and your coloring there looks great to me. I pretty much always work at making cards I need for something, unless I get the time to participate in a challenge. Well done! TFS & Hugs (PS...you have inspired me on some of the GK stuff...I bought the new inks...and then got the cubes!!!)

This is such a sweet image and I love the flowers in her hair. Your background is just great and so clever and the coloring is lovely. Mojo has a way of coming and going so I'm sure it will come back. Sometimes life just takes over for a while. Look through your supplies and visit Pinterest and you will be inspired again.

Interesting how you say you've lost your mojo as it's not the least bit evident in your stamping. I need to focus on some particular card needs, too -- mostly anniversary. This is the sweetest thing. I love how you did the background.
