National Day of Prayer

I made this card in honor of the National Day of Prayer which is today. Not that a special day is the only time we should pray. We should call upon the Lord daily.

I was hoping that these supplies would arrive in time so that I could share a card for you today. And indeed they did as they were in my mailbox this morning, So I feel that this project was meant to happen today! Goes to show that the Lord is in charge!

When I saw the wonderful stencils and awesome sentiment set from the new company The Greetery I knew I wanted to own these supplies. I so admired the samples given and in the wonderful Spring colors and so with that in mind I sort of duplicated the colors used for the card that was displayed during their grand opening posts. There were several other items I wished to own too but alas they were already out of stock. So I know I am not the only one who is loving the products there. I hope you will welcome this new company and check them out.

The Greetery Supplies used:
Comforting Commands Stamp Set
Comforting Commands Die Set
Fir & Foliage No. 1 Stencil
Pathway Stencil

Other Supplies:
Gina K. Designs Inks
Gina K. Designs Card Stock
Crafter's Companion Glue Pen
Maker's Movement Stitched Rectangles Nested Essentials

May the Lord bless all of you.
Hugs,Verna

I did not know it was the day of prayer today. I love your card. That pathway is so pretty with the tree next to it. I will need to check out this company. I think I have heard of them before, but not much.

There's a National Day for everything, isn't there? Today is probably the national day for several other things, too. You've made a most beautiful card today, Verna! I brings to mind a pathway to Heaven. I looked at these stamps, too, as I find them quite beautiful. I'm happy to know they seem to be successful in their beginning. You always impress me in how you play with your new things right away and even get it photographed and a post written.

I used to participate in the International Day of Prayer back in the day. Women from all over the world were praying every second of that day, it was very moving. I love your card! You are an expert at doing a scene, something that I am not proficient at. Well done, it's lovely!

What a wonderful card and sentiment. My favorite is the brick walk. I just saw a card right before yours done with stamps from The Greetery. I don't know if you follow Sharyn or not but here is her blog. http://mycraftyplace281.blogspot.com/

Wow! You are such an artiste, Verna! This should be framed and savored for many years to come. I love how you have utilized the stencils and color. It's spectacular! We used to have a "red bud" tree that grew in our area until the weather changed about 15 years ago. It looked a lot like your tree all Spring, and then sprouted tiny green leaves. Your sentiment is lovely! hugs, de
