Once again I used the February Crocodile Baby image from Beccy's Place but this time I used the uncolored version and did my own coloring for this card. It does not compare in quality at all to the pre-colored version but I still like it. I hope you do too. This will also be entered into the Beccy's Place February Challenge.
I colored my image with a mix of Bic, Sharpies and Copic markers. Then I cut the design out and added it to pattern paper from Beccy's Place using the paper that came with the Vase of Peonies digital stamp set. I found some ribbon with white polka dots on it so I tried to make the ribbon on the crocodile look similar to that. I again added a sentiment from a no longer in business Sparkle N Sprinkle set called Baby oh Baby! I finished the card by adding this all to a white card base.
I am happy to say that now if anyone has a baby in the future I will have a card all ready for them in my stash. I am glad I played a bit today. I need to do some major cleaning this week and get ready for some company on the weekend. And, I am very slow at doing this type of thing as I have to rest often. Sometimes these golden years seem quite tarnished. LOL So until next time take care.
God bless,
Verna

No Verna!! Psalm 92:14 says in your old age you shall be fresh and flourishing!! : ) No tarnish!! just wisdom... rest is a good thing!
Love love love your darling Crocodile cards. I hope you believe me when I tell you I truly do prefer your colored version to the pre-colored version. You did a wonderful job! I just love the polka dotted ribbon on the Crocodile and the matching one you embellished this sweet card with!!
Have a wonderful day!!
Adorable card, Verna. You've coloured the image beautifully. xx
Great "girl version" of this card! You colored the image beautifully, and I like how you matched the crocodile's ribbon with the ribbon on the side of the card!
You did a fabulous job of making this a baby girl card and love how you matched the ribbon. I hear you on the slowing down thing..like you I take breaks...often. I will be gone for about 10 days, but will visit here when I get back and catch up.
I think you did a great job colouring your crocodile! Her matching scarf is so sweet!
oh gosh, this is so cute! What a fun baby card to have on hand!
I love your crocodile in pink, too. A wonderful image.
Wait, your colored version is every bit as good as the pre-colored version. Really. I love the ribbon matching the croc's ribbon. I saved all of my dotted organdy ribbons when I did the clean out. This is so cute, Verna!
The colouring of the adorable crocodile is fabulous and love the vibrancy of your wonderful card x. A fun idea to match the ribbon with the crocodiles scarf. Enjoy the cleaning.....NOT! x.
Adorable image. I like the teddy bear too 😀
You've done an awesome job with the pink version of your baby card Verna, well done! Your colouring is fabulous, I particularly like those rosy red cheeks. The contrast you added between the crocodile and the spotted ribbon is fantastic, great choice of colours.
Good luck with the cleaning... I don't think there are too many people who enjoy it, but it's sure satisfying when it's all done!
Cheers,
Beccy
Gorgeous card Verna - love that you 'matched' the crocodile's ribbon so well with the one you used!
I know what you mean about these golden years being tarnished - I am typing with a splint on thanks to nerve damage... not the easiest
Blessings

So cute and fun, Verna! This image is precious! Love how you matched the ribbon with the croc's bow!
She's a cutie too! Love her neck bow matching the ribbon!
Too cute Verna and great coloring... I haven't been back to Beccy's in a while, need to go see if anything else is new.
