May Twofers

I finally found the right stamp so I can play in Darnell's Twofer Challenge #16. The challenge was to use a wheel so I found a ship's wheel on a stamp set and that was what I used for my Twofer's.

I used the Gina K. Designs Water Droplets stencil for the  background of my first card and then over that stamped the ship's wheel and the ship. The sentiment was from the same set of stamps.

The second card also  used the ship's wheel but I also chose sentiments from another set from Gina K. Designs. This time the wheel was  used for a border design. The frames helped to make the whole design more outstanding I thought.

Supplies used:
Gina K. Designs Water Drop Stencil, Ship to Shore Stamp Set, Anemone Wishes Stamp Set, Glue Runner, inks and card stock
Impression Obsession: Checkered Frames Die

I am also entering this in the following challenges:
Mod Squad Challenge-One Layer-CAS
Double D Challenge-Frames

Well, it has been a fun afternoon making these cards. And, the sun has just now made an appearance but it sounds like it will be a cold and rainy weekend. We sure enjoyed the taste of summer though that we had with a few days in the upper 70's and low 80's.

I thank all of you for visiting and the comments you leave.
God bless,
Verna

Yay, I'm glad you played, Verna! It's fun to see your imagination at work, using something other than the usual and expected kind of wheel, but it is definitely a wheel. I never thought of a steering wheel or helm. Great idea! Two really cute cards. Love the stencil and little sailboat on your first card, and the nautical border on your second card. You always do such a nice job with your twofers. Thanks for joining us!

Such a creative idea using the same 'wheel' stamp Verna. The first card is fabulous.....love the scene you've made along with the subtle stencilled background x. The frame sure does draw your eyes into that bold sentiment on your second wonderful card. Stunning cards, both of them x

What a fun way to use that ship wheel for two very different cards Verna! Love the CAS designs that would be perfect for masculine recipients.

Excellent choice of a ship's wheel, Verna! I love your nautical scene with the cute boat, wonderful sediment, and great stencil for the background on your first design. I also love the bold sediment on your second design and I think it was so smart to create the double framing which directs the eyes to your clever ship's wheel border! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #16! Hugs, Darnell
