In order for me to stay familiarized with the digital type of stamping I find I have to do it more often at first or I forget what I originally learned about it. So today I made a card using an Artsystamper set of designs called Koi Pond Digi stamp set.
After I made my design I first printed it out onto plain copy paper to see if it looked okay. Then I proceeded to print it out onto white card stock. This time I went with the uncolored fish and looked on line to see what colors Koi came in and I guess you can say they come in a lot of different and mixes of colors. So I went with the orange, yellow and red mainly with just a touch of black. I used my Bic and Sharpie Permanent Markers to color the images. The sentiment also came with the set so I used that for my card.
For the most part the only Koi around here would be in a fish bowl or pond. But I do know they are a pretty fish and I love to see them swimming in a pond. We do not have them in our freshwater lakes and streams that I know of.
I am entering this in the following challenges:
Artsy Stamper Challenge #8-Thank You
Jan's Dig Challenge #6-Anything Goes
Thanks for the visit and have a great evening!
God bless,
Verna

You did a great job creating your scene with the various fish images, and you colored them beautifully! I love the subtle water you added also. The red card base makes your red details stand out nicely. Nice job!
Verna, Super coloring and I think you did a great job on your card. I really love it!!
Completely awesome, Verna! Yes, I've seen them these colors, a little like calico cats :D Beautiful scene!
A super cute card. Love the colorful fish. Great coloring.
So pretty Verna, I love digis and I love that my space will usually stay a bit cleaner in the process of making a card... :)
It looks great...when I have time; I find it fun to play around with digis.
happy stamping mf.

Very nice design with the digi’s. I don’t know much about digi images myself. I think the colors work great. There is a family in my neighborhood who have a few koi fish in a tiny little pond. They must have a heater in it or they would be frozen solid this morning!
This card is just beautiful, and you have colored it beautifully. It always amazes me how you can get that kind of coloring with only Bics and Sharpies. I cannot for the life of me get them to blend well. I love what you have done here, just fabulous!!!
Your card is just like looking into a pond where they are swimming. Beautiful coloring and the bubbles just add realism to the pond.
What a stunning digi image Verna and such a fabulous card. Your colouring is great and the red cardstock frames your image beautifully x.
Very very pretty! I love the way you colored it so brightly and yet it is so CAS at the same time : ) Great job on the digis, as always!!
Wow you nailed using digis! I love this scene!
Great design with your digis, I think you nailed it! Pretty coloring, and pretty similar to the koi I know. Lots of koi ponds around our area, but I grew up with a dad who built fishponds to make his "mark" on the world at many of houses we lived at growing up. Great memory...
What a beautiful card Verna - well done in keeping up using the digis.
We have koi carp here, and are they classified as a noxious pest as they multiple so rapidly and are endangering our native species.
Blessings
Maxine
They are beautiful. I only know of them in man made ponds. You've done a wonderful job with these digis, Verna! It's a real learn as you go thing, but you're mastering it very quickly. All I did in the beginning was just print it the way it came. No tricky stuff for me. Now it's like second nature.
You have made such a lovely scene! I often forget about my digital stamps, so I know what you mean.
OH MY FRIEND! You are getting SO GOOD with these digitals! Your layout and coloring are PERFECT! This card is absolutely awesome! Thanks so much for playing in our challenge at the Artsystamper Challenge Blog!

This is a beautiful use of digi stamps and you've colored them to look so real! Great friendship card!
Very nice, Verna! I made a fish card recently myself! I love how yours turned out! Great images!
Verna! This card is so great. I love the way you placed the Koi. These fish were in the little "mote" around the Alamo. I took pictures, and drew them from those shots. They are around 12 inches long! Thanks for entering our challenge at Artsystamper Digitals Challenge! See you again soon.
