I recently invested in a set of dies that are cutouts. There were six of them in the package and I chose to use just three of them on this clean and simple card today.
I backed the cutouts with some foiled paper that I had done with a "no heat" technique by just taking some sticky paper and just burnishing the foil onto the sticky part. The foil I used is from Gina K. Designs and it has some little flecks in it that really makes it pretty. And, the sentiment is from a Gina K. Designs set called Emily Loggans-A Very Merry Christmas. It was stamped with black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs.
Dies used:
Impression Obsession Christmas Circle Cutouts
Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders
I added some thicker photo double stick tape to the back of the main panel so that it was popped up. I went with several strips on the back to make it quite stable. I chose to do a white on white and I love the look.
I am entering this in the Scrapy Land Challenge #112-Anything Goes.
Well the snow missed us so that is just fine with me. Only a bit of rain too! I think it went south of us again. That just goes to show that the weatherman doesn't always know for sure what is going to happen as we were to be in the area where some of the deeper snow was to fall.
You have a great weekend and God bless,
Verna

These are very pretty dies, Verna! Cute with the CAS design and the gorgeous foil paper peeking through. I'll bet that foil paper is really something IRL. You're doing great with the Christmas cards! There have been a lot of inaccuracies in our weather reports lately, too. It must be because of this crazy weather. Glad you didn't get snow.
Love those dies backed with foil--wonderful card, Verna! Think I'll put those dies on my wishlist, even though I have so many Christmas products!
Great CAS design with a regal look from the foil paper. Love the script sentiment too. I would make tons of this one for Christmas.
You're going great guns on the Christmas cards, Verna! You're generosity in sending cards always warms my heart. It's a great hobby, isn't it? Loving the pretty white on white background and those dies are WONDERFUL! So festive and ringing in the season - Verna Style! Beautiful card, and I like how you used the foil in a different way. hugs, de
This is so pretty, Verna! I like the red foil behind the cut-outs! These types of dies are great for shakers too! I'm still giggling over your husband's comments from yesterday :-)
Great card! I think that foil is fantastic. I don’t use it often as I have trouble with the heat techniques but will have to try your idea.
Your CAS Christmas card is beautiful Verna! The red foil paper in the background really makes this card sparkle. I'm so glad the snow missed you. It's been cold here in the Northeast again too. Come on spring!!
LOVE the look of this. The white against the red is fabulous!!! Wonderful card!!
I'm glad the snow missed you. I think you've had enough! This is a beautiful card with gorgeous shine. Using foil paper, especially the flecked one, made a wonderful background for these pretty Christmas dies.
Merry and Bright most definitely has stopped in on your blog my friend : ) This is so crisp and pretty!!
Fabulous CAS Christmas Card. I love the foiled background. What a novel idea to buy a set of dies and know exactly what you are going to do with them.

This is just gorgeous Verna! I really like the red foiled ornaments on the white with that big, bold sentiment! Well done!
Gorgeous Christmas card...the red and white has always appealed to me at Christmas. I have these dies as well, but they have to 'see' paper lol!!
How fun those colorful baubles!
