Yesterday I got the stamp sets I was so lucky to win from the new release that Sparkle N Sprinkle has out and so today I made a card using one of the sets. Most of you who follow my blog know I am pretty much a CAS card maker and this is pretty much the case with this one but I did bling it up some with some glitter all over the surface of the card.
I stamped the design with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the image with Copic Markers. Once I had it all colored I die cut it out with a Die-Namics Blueprints set. I stamped the Thanks separately on white card stock and cut it out with one of the dies in that blueprint set. I cut another one out as a layer for the one with the sentiment on it and used some of the Copics to match the card stock. Normally I would have used card stock that matched the card base but I did not have a little snippet to work with so I instead tried to match the Copic ink.
Using a Versamark ink pad I swiped ink all over the front panel and those layers for the Thanks sentiment and added some Sparkle N Sprinkle embossing powder to give a glittery look. Once this was heat set I then assembled the card together. I finished it off then by adding a pearl heart to the sentiment and a pink and white polka dot bow.
Supplies used:
Sparkle N Sprinkle Emily Showers of Love #831 stamp set
Sparkle N Sprinkle Sparkle EP107
Versamark Ink Pad
Scor Tape
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Ribbon from my stash
Pearl Heart-Hero Arts
Die-Namics MFT-914 Blueprints 29
I am so thrilled to get the newest sets from the release and I hope to make a card from each of them and post them on my blog.
Over the weekend I did not do any card making but instead got my Christmas tree down and some of the other decorations put away. That always takes some doing and alas, no grandsons to help with the project like when we put the tree up. But Grandpa and I managed to do the job!
Well, I hope your week is off to a great start. Thanks for stopping in and as always I love to see your comments. I read all of them too!
God bless,
Verna

We just got our decorations down too, and the tree is STILL up, although it doesn't have anything on it but lights. But I love the lights, so I don't mind keeping it up awhile longer. But not too long. This little card is just so sweet, I love how you have colored her, and then the glitter is the perfect final touch. Very cute!!!
This is such a cute stamp set and you have made a sweet card with it. Love it. The glitter is perfect.
Beautiful. The card is stunning.
That is a set on my list again and may have to break down and pay the postage. :)
